Outcome goals for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Reading Goal
Outcomes
By June 2025, the percentage of all students in grades K-3 meeting or exceeding VALLSS screener benchmarks will increase by 10% from fall 2024 to spring 2025.
By June 2025, the percentage of Students with Disabilities in grades K-3 that are in the "high risk" category on the fall VALLSS assessment will reduce by a minimum of 10%. Our goal is to move this to 10% into the "low" or "moderate risk" categories by spring.
Strategies

- Increase teacher content knowledge of evidence-based literacy instruction aligned with science-based reading research to improve implementation of new core curriculum.

Strategies

- Increase teachers' content knowledge and implementation of the 2023 FCPS mathematics program of studies.
- Increase teacher implementation of explicit instruction and other components of effective mathematics intervention.
Discipline Goal
Outcome
By June 2025, the percentage of schoolwide discipline referrals will decrease by 5% from the 2023-2024 school year.
Strategies
- Implement Leveled Responses to Student Behaviors: Staff Managed for classroom issues, Office Managed for interventions beyond. Provide clear guidelines for consistency and effectiveness, promoting division-wide behavior management. Utilize the office-managed/staff managed document consistently.
- Utilize an MTSS framework to establish and organize a school-wide continuum of proactive behavior and wellness supports which will provide targeted interventions to students at different levels of need.
- Implement mandatory Tier 1 SEL and PBIS practices during protected time slots in the school schedule, including Mindfulness Moments, Community Circles for Elementary, and Restorative Advisory Meeting for Middle/High schools, alongside three signature practices at all levels.
